Central Washington University Head Coach Anthony Pacheco has named his roster for the Viking 7s Tournament Saturday September 28th in Bellingham, WA.

The Wildcats will compete in Pool B along with the University of British Columbia, Oregon State Univeristy, and Eastern Washington University. Pool A will include the hosts Western Washington University, University of Victoria who the Wildcats last faced in Cup Final of the Las Vegas Invitational in front of 30,000 fans, the Univeristy of Oregon, and The University of Washington.

Central is eager to test themselves early as this will be the first competition of the 2013-14 season. The Wildcats will have their work cut out for them as they come into the tournament with just 1 week of preperation. “This competition will be a great opportunity for us to try out some combinations and to test some new comers, we will look to improve our execution throughout the tournament and focus a great deal on our attack. Any time we get to face off against our Canadian counterparts we know we are going to be tested so it will be important that we are disciplined and patient in our pproach to the competition” said Head Coach Anthony Pacheco.

The Wildcats will be lead by standout and captain Tanner Barnes along with several returners that made an impact this summer on the national 7s scene. The Wildcats first match will kick off at 10:40 am against Oregon State University.

Look out for Cameron Marek out of NorCal in the future, he is relatively new to the sport but has pace rarely seen in American Rugby
